Aluminum Composite Panels

What is Aluminum Composite Material?

Aluminum Composite Material is a composition of two thin aluminum sheets bonded to a polyethylene (PE) core, or fire rated (FR) core, which is an ideal mix and density of non-combustible materials to meet specific building codes. Available in 4mm or 6mm thickness, ACM materials are cut, bent and formed into different shapes and sizes specific to your design requirements. 

 

The thin aluminum face sheet on the ACM panel is coated with a variety of different finishes. Standard finishes formulated by each manufacturer and custom finishes are available to match that specific finish requested for your project. ACM panels are also available in stainless steel, copper, zinc, a textured finish or painted finishes to resemble stone, wood grain or a prismatic finish.

ACM panels are installed on facades of commercial, institutional, retail and residential buildings. The panels are custom manufactured on our CNC routing-cutting machines and then assembled with our ASTM tested attachment systems. These panel assemblies are constructed to meet different building codes and regulations. Below is a list of tested Aluminum Composite Panel Systems.

AMD 1500 “Wet Joint” System

The AMD 1500 Wet Joint Route and Return System is a non-progressive system with specifically designed extrusions to allow for a quick installation process. This design utilizes .50” joints between the ACM panels and filled with backer rod and sealant which provides a complete water tight building envelope.

 

                              
AMD 2000 "Dry Joint" System 

The AMD 2000 Dry Joint Route and Return System is a progressive rainscreen system with specifically designed interlocking extrusions to allow incidental moisture to enter the system and flow through weep holes. The .50” joint spacing is completed with an ACM reveal set back from the face of the panel to give the system a clean look.
